Jae Uk Chung, AIA
President / Principal
Jae acquired a broad and deep experience in architectural design of multiple building types during his total of ten years of employment and internship at some of the most prestigious architectural offices in the world. Prior to founding MAUD in 2010, he practiced as a designer at Frank Gehry and Associates (Gehry Partners). He contributed to a wide range of urban design projects of great complexity including Opus Hong Kong Residential Tower, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Park Des Ateliers in Arles, France.
Jae's expertise encompasses a wide range of building types, from cultural to residential, including educational, commercial, and hospitality projects. He also has in depth expertise in urban design, planning, programming, and the development of 3D models involving complex geometry.
Jae received the Master of Architecture in Urban Design (MAUD) from the Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts and Master of Architecture (M ARCH) from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He is a registered architect, NCARB certified and a licensed general contractor in the State of California.
Jenny Chung
Principal
Jenny has over ten years of experience in many diverse environmental and graphic design including a notable projects as Los Angeles International Airport Identity, Millennia Walk (Singapore), GIA Corporate Identity, Universal Studio City walkscape and its identity . She offers a comprehensive approach to all phases of design to identify goals including the physical, cultural, social, and environmental elements necessary for delivering successful projects.
She has the skills for integrating the disciplines of art, environment, and graphics while balancing the pragmatics of project requirements. She is committed to providing innovative, environmentally sensitive design solutions that are both creative and feasible to fulfill the needs of her clients.
Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
